My daughter absolutely adores Ciara! From the time we met Ciara, we knew she was the perfect fit for our family. When everyone else gave up on my daughter’s speech, sometimes even myself, Ciara didn’t. We knew we had a challenge with my daughter’s ability to hear and speak. The doctors told us she would most likely hear only sounds and solely rely on asl to communicate. She is now responding to her name, attempting to make animal noises, and her favorite thing is saying “no no no”. For Ciara, this is much more than a job, she will go above and beyond for every patient that she sees. We will follow Ciara wherever she goes!
There are people who are good at their job and then there are people who are exceptional – who make a difference in the lives of those around them. To say Ciara is exceptional is somehow an understatement. She worked tirelessly with both of my boys, with the speech and language services they needed, and built in them the confidence to share their hard work with their peers. Simultaneously, she really trained our family to help our boys succeed as well. There were so many unknowns the first time we walked into Ciara’s office, so much doubt and uncertainty on our part. She met us at the door each time with a smile and a hug, put in the hard work, and the last time my boys walked out, with head held high, ready to take on the road ahead. We are forever grateful for the impact Ciara has made in our family’s life and in the lives of our boys. I cannot say enough how wonderful she is!
Ciara will work with you and your child at your appointment, and you won’t even realize you’re learning. Throughout the years, I now realize how much Ciara has taught me and my family. I work on speech with my daughter and many times, don’t even realize it. When my daughter has an achievement in speech, Ciara is the first person I want to tell because I know she has worked as hard on her speech as we have. My daughter is definitely stubborn, and Ciara will work hard to figure out the perfect way to work with you and your child to get the most out of each appointment.
